I received a copy of a sampler for a new DH APUSH book. The sampler is incredible. This has the potential to be the best APUSH book evar. Did anyone else receive and review it? If so, what did you think? Apparently the complete book is due in a couple of days. Can’t wait to see the whole book.

Direct Hits APUSH boot?

Yes - Direct Hits is publishing a new APUSH book. I received a sampler with several chapters. The book looks like it will be amazing. I want to reserve final judgment until I see more. I just exchanged PMs with another CCer who also reviewed the sampler. He/she agrees with me. The sampler suggests that the full book will be incredible.

The sample looks very nice! It seems I will get a free copy if I write a review. Can you explain how that works? They said they’ll send me a sampler, but isn’t the sampler already on the site?

Think this is better than the AMSCO book?

Yes, it could be. I like Amsco and have recommended it in the past. But Amsco is 700+ pages long and is really an abridged textbook. The new DH book focuses only on key topics that have generated clusters of questions. It has much more narrative than Crash Course but is shorter and more succinct than Amsco. Still I want to wait and see the whole thing. My first impression is very positive.

Hmm, I emailed him in the morning and I have not gotten a response yet…

I guess they don’t respond on weekends? Or perhaps they’re really busy?

Is this what you guys are taking about?

I meant ""talking about…

Yes, that’s it

^Yes, thats it. DH now has a button called Downloads and Resources. They now have the full Table of Contents for the book and their chapters on the 1920s and 1950s. I just read the DH chapters and compared them with Amsco. IMO DH is the best.

^ DK thanks for this link [Direct Hits Education](http://www.directhitseducation.com/Downloads/Content/index.php) I like seeing the table of contents for the whole book and new sample chapters.

I was waiting until I got the book before I posted anything. I found out it will be available next week. I am definitely going to use the sample chapter on Eisenhower since that is what we are starting to cover now in class. I am so glad I will have the book to use a month before the AP test.

Looks like this book arrived just in time to save my butt for the exam. My class is so behind.

The new APUSH book is available on Amazon today. Its called Direct Hits US History in a Flash for the AP and SAT II. Has anyone heard when the review copies are coming? I can’t wait to get mine.
