<p>78 total - 7 in neither = 71 total clubbers. 56+42 = 98 total people in club either or both clubs… 98-71= 27, so there is a 27 overlap, so 27 are in both.</p>

<p>You can also add up all the responses 42+56+7=105 and then subtract the number of participants 105-78 which gives you 27 people answering twice</p>
