TASP? NIH? Harvard SSP? Columbia creative writing/

I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to summer programs and chosing for next year will be, by far, the toughest. I want to be on the staff at a summer camp for one session (aka four weeks). I also want to do neuoscience research (NIH or local labrtory) - research i can continue into the school year. I also want to do something educational or whatnot
(aka Havard or TASP). There are only so many weeks inthe summer. I heard Havard has a distance learning program. Does Columbia or TASP? That would be amazing (cue for the Hallelujah chorus)! Thanks to all who respond.

PS My summers are one of the the best parts of my life, so this decision is very important to me.

Don't assume you'll get in to all those programs.

Research these programs before you start a thread like this. Do you even know what TASP is?

Lol at TASP having a "distance learning program".

lol kid.
Stop trying, you're not cool.
Apply to all of them so the rejection process can decide for you.

omg. i don't expect to getin at all those programs. yes i know what tasp is. ive researched these programs (well tasp not as thoroughyl as the other two, but it seemed like some sort of summer seminar. guess i must have gotten the wrong impression or something). i get what you mean butcherer, but i don't think it's as hard to get into SSP or Columbia as TASP. and btw, my name does not mean that i'm trying to be cool, it means im trying to stay cool. so there. :p

No, your name means "no TASP for you :("
Have fun, the others are less awesome as TASP.

Pick the summer program that has your interests at heart. I really like world history and international relations, so I applied to TASP's "Foreign Policy as Subversion". I got into a different TASP, but since TASP is amazing for the people and it wasn't too far off my interests ("Cultures of Writing", history of writing), I went.

Are your interests humanities or math/science? Pick one, and apply to the specific programs that build on your interests.

that wasn't an insult, was it, butcher? wtvr. i totally agree about my interests. problem is: i love everything (except math). neuroscience, im awed. writing, tell me more. history, hello, sign me up! that's why i'm having troublenarrowing down my interests. btw, TASP is not my goal. getting into a program i love, however, is.
