I graduated high school in 2004. I was an average(maybe below-average?) student. I had a 2.01 when I graduated. I belonged to a few academic clubs and did well in them. My ACT score was a 25. I decided that university would not be the right choice for me so I did not bother to apply. I went to a city college to make a fresh start. Was there for four semesters. Earned a total of 35 credit hours. Yet I let my GPA fall again to that of my high school GPA. Now I want a change. I have not ever been diagnosed with ADD. I believe I'm more lazy than anything, because when I really propose myself to do something I do it beyond well. All of this is probably due to my not being decided in what I want to do with my life. I have so many things I wish I could do, but are more so of the 'dream job' kind. I want to study something grounded that will provide me great benefits. Something that is recognized, and I just really want to go to a university. Right now I'm considering going to a health institute to study a short medical career. Yet, I really do not want to. I want to go to community college again (I recentely moved) and this time try my hardest to finish my associate in science, and then transfer to a university and see what happens. My deliemma is would a university ever accept me with all of this behind me?

Yes...schools do accept non-traditional students like yourself. The do, however, need to see a year (or two) of good to excellent work from you at a school, without the grade dip--as it looks like a trend at the moment.

If you buckle down and study, you'll be fine.
