<p>I am turning 24 in January, will I be considered an independant student when I fill out my FAFSA for 2007-2008? I hate that my parents income is counted when they don't help me out at all with school. I have been working my way through community college but I am transfering to a 4-year university in the Fall of 2007. I am really hoping to get some need-based aid since I only make less than 15,000 a year. Any other advice? Thanks.</p>
<p>Yes. 24 is the cutoff, I believe. You become your own entity.</p>
