I've seen a few people on CC who have said that they've done self designed projects and independent work. My question is, what are these projects, and how do you guys go about doing them? Thanks

I want to know this too. What are potential projects that aren't too hard to do? (preferably math/architecture related).

come on...anyone?

Earlier this year I combined my own interest in game programming with my fellow students' vast talents to create http://www.TJGames.org. This is a website that offers our games as donationware, with all money being forwarded to a charity (http://www.childsplaycharity.org). It launched less than a month ago and is still undergoing revisions, but we hope to start trying to get real publicity soon.

^ Smart! And an awefully nice thing to do. I created a game (myself no less since I don't know anyone who was so into CS as me), but never put my ability to make websites together and published it..

However I created a website based on HP and it does pretty well.. Though I've been neglecting it of late.

I have no knowledge of web design. Most of the games and the entirety of the site are made by friends of mine.

Thats a nice thing to do. But is there anything I can do if I am interested in architecture/math?

Internship/job is the best thing I can think of..
