@Koustubha really nice of you to say that, man. But at the end of day giving your best to make one amazing application is better than dividing that time and effort for five.
Good luck with Yale, though. What are your stats?
@ExUtero2001 We have very similar extracurriculars and stats except that I didn’t take any subject tests. I have a gap year during which I helped write two research papers, a few internships, assisted an editor and stuff like that. I have a lot of community service, more than five years. That is it. I feel like I’ve done very little but I do have some hope. I just spent time and effort doing stuff that were always close to my heart. I guess that’s the whole point.
Good luck to you too, with Princeton. It’s a great school. Would love to go there.
all the best to class of 2023 and those who applied early!
Anyone applied to Stanford early??
@retro-rally Stanford Early Action here! that too with a substantial amount of financial aid
Can you share your stats??
DO anyone here knows about news platforms where you can know about number of acceptances in the univs abroad in ED cycle and diff. other stats.
Anyone applied ED to Pomona College?
guys, I need your help.
I missed the early action for Yale due to some family problems and i’m applying via the common app and i have tons of questions regarding the information i have to enter there. I’m panicking a lot and I’m scared.
Can anyone help me please?

@jhunt23 Which colleges have you applied to?
Till now, only Stanford Early Action!
@jhunt23 ohh that great… you have really nice stats…btw a fellow Engineering Physics prospective student here : )
@SuperBatBoi01 thanks, man! I’m just hoping that Stanford doesn’t reject me because of Financial Aid. What about you? Did you apply anywhere for Early Action/Decision? And Yeah, it’s nice to have a fellow engineering physics prospective.
@jhunt23 I ED to Cornell, and also a bunch of EA school like UIUC, UWM.
Same here, I’m pretty certain of my rejection from Cornell due to Financial Aid
@SuperBatBoi01 Well, Cornell Engineering is the highest-rated program on the Ivy league (Highest acceptance rate also) & Cornell accepts a lot of students (about 5000 I guess). It has a pretty good early decision acceptance rate compared to other colleges’ early decision acceptance rate so logically speaking, odds are in your favor. BTW, when it comes to Indian students, Cornell’s financial aid is different 'cause it’s integrated with Tata Scholarship or something like that which support approximately 20 students financially. Cornell has a $25 million endowment just for Indian Students Undergraduate Financial Aid so that’s pretty good as well. You have made a really good decision by applying to Cornell ED for engineering physics. What I don’t understand is why did you apply to public schools such as UIUC, UWM 'cause they don’t seem to offer any financial aid.
@jhunt23 yes Cornell seemed a pretty sweet deal to me and I fall right between the sweet spot for engineering physics applicant but recently they did an interview with the admissions dean where he said that admission for international applicants is directly based on if they apply for financial aid or not?.. so yeah. I applied to UIUC cause I know a bunch of professors from that UNI plus their engineering physics course and recent funding for Quantum Computing just made hard to leave plus the chill environment and the party scene there is pretty lit, I was going to take a loan in case UIUC happened. and UWM offers really amazing scholarship for Indian subcontinent students and Engineering Applicants
@SuperBatBoi01 It’s little strange for someone like Admission dean to say that admission for international applicants is directly based if they apply for financial aid or not!! Don’t you think so!? I mean, yeah, they say that financial aid would be a consideration in admission decision but to say that admission decision entirely depends upon financial aid requirement is just ‘unfair’!!
@jhunt23 yah something on that line… but you can’t really help it. i am just hoping for the best
Hey guys. I had a question related to predicted scores. My midterms happened in the month of October, it’s December now and we still haven’t received all the test papers back. (Teachers and students- both don’t care about them much). I really need to get started with the rec letters and was wondering if I can ask the vice-principal (who will be writing my GC letters) to predict scores based on my 11th grade marks?
Thanks in advance. Best of luck to all
