Indian grading system

HI.
In India the grading system is very different from US grading system. Firstly you get a score based on a percentage not a GPA and secondly there is no concept of a grade curve (If the highest in class is 70% he gets a B)

My scores right now are
10th- 78% average in IGCSE (Cambridge program)
11th- 76% In the Indian system
i dont have my grade 9 report card but i i remember right it is somewhere in the 70% line.

How would i know what my GPA is for my 9,10,11
70-80 is considered a B

Mu SAT scores right now (On the CB tests) are

Math-710
CR-610
Writing-540(Essay 10 MC: 48

Writing is really bad but i will improve it.

My EC's are virtually non existent
Indian system doesn't really allow you time for that

I was born with a congenital heart condition called Tetrolagy of Fallot
This may sound really bad and opportunist but should i talk about that in my app essay?

Thanks!!!

you dont need to know your GPA… the college will calculate that based on the grades sent by the school - every school has a different grading system, so you wont be at any disadvantage.

As far as EC’s are concerned… maybe you could do something this summer that looks nice on your app?

Essay - absolutely any topic could be good. it shouldn’t have a sad throughout though… maybe you could explain how you overcame the problem, how it helped you, how it changed your perspective towards things. Btw, keep your mind open to other ideas as well… since you have a few months now, there could be tons of other ideas/incidents that you could think of and write about.

my summer is used up for studding for my june SAT

yes evenmine will be used to prepare for the SAT.but I don’t mind something for my ECs if it adds something to my application.
all I want are some ideas as to what would add something to the EC part.I am completely unaware as to what would count as AN EC-I mean I don’t know anything that can be done in our country within the summer months-bescides the achievement certificates which require special skills for sure !
any help from the ones who used the summer to enhance their ECs or maybe someone like me who would start doing something this summer!
any help and input will be highly treasured.
thanks

Dude you really need to learn to multitask.

Ya i know. BUT my summer hols are 60 days. I was planning on taking October SAT so i had not started studying . Dad told me around 2 weeks ago do it i June, October is risky because you also need to do SAT subject tests. So i started studding, only like 10 -12 days ago. That means like 50 days to study for the SAT. 34 holidays and around 14 days of school. school days i cant do much . i reach home at like 5 and have at least 2. hours of school work and i need like 2 hours of SAT.
In 34 days i cant sign up do some work and get certificates to get a good amount of EC

you have time till December to do stuff. Umm yeah what I can think of is do some charity or try to get an internship through connections or anything. I can give u the names of some charities in Blore if u want.

I have connections for internships in hotels and resorts through my dad . IT companies through my Uncle. Charities could help. can you send my details?
