What are my chances at Brown RD as a bio major?

and I wasnt serious about the curry

The curry first. Then we’ll talk.

…goddamnit, now i’m having kabob & curry cravings.

icebox4: mmm… kabob & curry.

get us some damn curry then we’ll chance you.

^^^LOL, somebody just give him the damn chance all ready.

hahah this title made me lol

I never chance but I will in this case if you answer the following to my satisfaction:

Dispatch calls in and you are closest to the scene. The description of events was a drive-by shooting but retaliated against by an on-foot gang, causing the car to lose control and crash into the side of a building.

Your ambo is first on scene. You are lead, your partner is following. The car is still upright but smoke is coming from the hood. The driver’s door is open and he appears to be unconscious and still in the driver’s seat with visible scratches and marks on the face. The windshield is has a “spiderweb” pattern impact crack in the driver’s position. The back left passenger’s door is open as well and the passenger is on the ground on his back with strained breathing and a sucking sound coming from the chest.

What do you do?

i’ll be the first to chance haha. i never do these either but i’ve taken pity on you after the six posters before me :)

you look great on paper, but make sure you let whatever you’re passionate about shine through. good scores, good stats, good service, everything is super fab but like i said show something that sets you apart from everyone else. maybe in your essay you can talk about how you lure people in to chance threads with promises of curry and then fail to deliver :)

You certainly have what it takes. I’d suggest using your sense of humor(or promise of curry) on your app; it’s nice to see someone with a personality to go with those impressive stats!

and a buuuuuuump

Kabob and Curry… <3

Tip: Brown typically does not admit liars and teases. Punk.

Kidding! You have great numbers, and your ECs are a lot more few and focused than a lot of other people (including myself 2 years ago) that I’ve seen on CC- it’s refreshing. Like someone else said, just make sure that whatever passion you have that led you to choose and focus on such ECs really comes through. All you have to worry about now are the essays. Good luck!

EDIT: There are, of course, that are going against you. NJ, Indians, and Indian males concentrating in the sciences are overrepresented. But even though you can’t change the NJ (realistically) and Indian factor, there is a(n short?) essay that gives applicants a chance to explain their academic preferences. But hey- I’m an Asian-American from Long Island, and I got in! :)
