Not a pretty thing to talk about: a guy with a camera phone recorded a video (with consent!) of a girl giving him a bj and sent it off to friends. It spread like wildfire and 8 students were suspended.

It's natural to think the girl was the victim, but I read somewhere that she wasn't too sorry for herself either ("doesn't everyone do it? didn't you do it?" - to her principal!). And apparently there wasn't too much of skin in the video...at least not of the girl.

From the more legal point of view too, they were 17, above the legal 'age of consent' (16, at least in the US). And they were both the same age so there was no 'imbalance of power'. All this hype is only because THIS particular incident came into the media, when incidents like these are common practice in schools these days.

I called him and he sounded fine... looks like he graduated a long time ago (daughter picked up). Asked me to send him a copy of my mit app over email. Since I haven't yet completed it, I sent him a resume instead (which is a bit more detailed). He said he'll go through it and then when I'm in delhi, "we can have a chat for about an hour so."

So it probably won't be anything like the Five Hour Ravi Meattle Interview. :)
