Thanks man! how's anchal? tell her if you see her that i was asking about her. been a long time since i spoke to her.
akash yeah that's my dog's name :)

anchal's doing good, she was mending fences last i heard. will let her know! this is pretty amazing. akash's right, we're all interconnected.

so where have you applied akshay? gotta say i'll be infuriated if it's the same places as me :p j/k

12 univs. harvard yale columbia and the like though johns hopkins is my ABSOLUTELY FIRST choice. i have got accepted into Drexel and USC.

well good luck for johns hopkins then, and congrats on drexel and usc. will we be seeing more of you on this place now?

Akshay do u know any gal IN RKP called Sephy(or some variant of that)?
She's come from Singapore and MS and Meattle were raving abt her

Sephy?! no, haven't heard of any such girl. by gal u mean a student or some lady? cant be a student coz its both too late and too early for admissions. who's meattle?

a billion ppl in this country and still every1 knows each other...amazin... shakin his head

Meattle is MIT interviiewer. She's a current BIo student.Do u know any girl at all whos'se come from Singapore to our school?

Adides,how true.

i know a tibetan in section A. i dont know about any other foreigner in the bio sections. will certainly find out and let u know

Maybe shes an NRI

hey that's funny. drexel's at 106 on usnews and USC isn't even listed. USC's a very popular college. wonder how...

yeah,among top 50 for engg-Yale isnt listed,Boston Univ at NO. 49....

yup. it's funny why yale is so underrated for engineering. yale's got the money to invest in research and also the staff to teach quality engineering. infact that's what the yale prez was here for, to boost the popularity of their engg dept. linda said yale faces a really tough applicant pool for the arts but the engg pool is relatively smaller.

yep,I told her I was intertsed in both ECon and engg,I wish now I had applied for engg instead of econ

wow, adides I had just heard of the mythical gujju entrepreneurship talent, witnessing it for the first time, :)
I like your business model, but, correct me if I'm wrong, do we really need an incorporated entity to begin with...I was thinking more along the lines of an AOP.
Secondly, I don't think that we should really take up sat coaching at this stage, Mainly because it is a saturated market and also coz it can be very time consuming.

Besides this, the book sounds good, the only catch is that we need a really good publisher, will try to speak to rupa or IBH once we get the ground work done.

the strengths and weaknesses
strengths: essay writing and editing, SAT verbal, finance, mktg, pr and cooking;)
weaknesses: SAT math, college research

And a book on US admissions from the indian perspective does exsist, it's called "Wanna Study in US,101 tips to get you there", the author is natasha pratap, a stanford grad
http://www.wannastudyintheus.com/about_the_author.htm

 fwd by Mukesh Ambani for pratap's book
i am sure tht with their ongoing conflicts Anil Ambani might be available to write our fwd. ;)

yup, i think for now - we have agreed on the book and no, we do not need to incorporate for a book. my initial post for counsellin was motivated when i ran some $$ numbers for books and counselling :)
ritz - yeah gujju entrepreneurship has been good to me so far.... unfortunately tht dont get you admission in your top choices...

what is engg??

engineering

Question for all - who plans to come back to India after graduation?
