<p>i had a bad interview where the interviewer told me that I am wasting my time by applying to MIT :(</p>
<p>aww adi..kno wat, i bet if i'd had an MIT interview..they'd hav told me ot go home n sleep too!!! i hav a bad feeling 22 was still less....</p>

<p>yeah, bout MIT, Caltech etc. where ppl have just told me point blank tht i dont stand ANY chance at all... i am just applyin for the mere challenge. god i would love to see their faces, if i get admitted by mistake...an interviewer for ivy league told me tht interview would only make a difference if its OVERLY negative (like he/she is a jerk and absolutely no match for an ivy) or positive (he/she is the best student that I ever interviewed). A normal interview with some positive or negative bias is generally discounted off by rest of app...</p>
<p>Yeah,with meattle,he either gives u a very negative report or a very positive one</p>

<p>upenn this weekend. i have had exams in the classes this whole week, so couldnt do it on a weekday. the interviewer I was tlkin about is a family friend (and no, he is not interviewin me - damn it...)</p>
<p>for nemore interviews, I am opting out of it coz it takes up a lot of time and i have to study for boards...</p>

<p>none as yet. but i think i will have to opt out of yale, brown and princeton (f2f) coz i had bugged them so much bout interviews tht they will try to interview me at some point in the next week or so... and the problem is i have exams every day until my boards start on march 1st :eek: better get back to studyin</p>

How do we distinguish between the smell of chlorine and nitrate?</p>
<p>KMnO(4) is a self indicator basically cuz it is has a strong colour- hence, once it is done reacting with FAS or oxalic acid, it will colour the soln pink.</p>
<p>i dunno abt a smell test for Cl n nitrate- in our school, we usually distinguish em using the conc H(2)SO(4) + heating test</p>
<p>yeah well,if we use sulphuric acid,either NO2 or CL2 are evolved,and both of them have horrible smells..but I m not able to distinguish between them,any tips???</p>
