wah .

Help me. My school isn't used to doing this.

What all does your school report have?

Mine: (for commonapp at least, rest similar)

1) The form
2) The rec on school letterhead
3) Brief school profile, one para. <what school,="" affiliated="" to="" cbse,="" streams,="" optionals,="" rigorous="" evaluation=""> Same page, my marks over 4 years. Rank. Max marks, passing marks.
4) 10th board mark sheet</what>

Anything wrong here? Are you people including stuff about what the course is like? Topics and stuff?? Does that have to be there? Or they familiar with CBSE???

this is what my Stanford school report had:

1) Form
2) Rec on School Letterhead
3) 1 page school profile
4) Transcripts - only the marks and the corresponding grades (no highest, passing mark etc)
5) Grading scheme (Since its different for each subject)

I'll have to do the school profile myself, could you tell me more about what yours had?

I am in amity Intl., Saket...
I am also having problems filling the school profile and mid- report section..Wah do I fill in the gpa section..my 1st term % is a bit low(74)

Dont worry about 1st term.

School profile? What info does it contain? Ima have to do it soon coz deadlines are approaching (dec 15th for arts supplement)....

harsh I guess it's a good idea for the gpa space to be left blank, and something like "refer transcript" to be written.

school profile, i'm at as much of a loss as you guys. what i think it should have is:
- about the school (rep, background, coed, english medium, pool it draws students from)
- affiliation (CBSE? ICSE? IB?)
- choices (streams? subjects?)
- any special school policies, procedures...

Great! I think I might compile a school profile myself. In fact, I found a profile already up on the school's website :)

BUT look at this: <a href="http://www.donboscopatna.com/asp/activities.asp%5B/url%5D">http://www.donboscopatna.com/asp/activities.asp</a></p>

In my 5 years at this school, I've never witnessed any such activities.. there are no clubs (as advertised), no 'social service league', the student council is virtually non-existent, only one tour has so far been conducted, the library does not issue most of these '7000' books, and worst of all, ECs are discouraged (10th and 12th students are mostly not allowed to participate. i remember last year when we were in 12th and there was an annual day organized... we weren't told about it, neither invited as even audience.)

Sigh... how am I gonna put all that on a school profile?! LOL.

I forgot to mention, apart from ECs, the school is excellent (comes in top 10 ICSE schools in india) in terms of academics and board results....

Ok I just completed making a 3 page school profile. I can upload it somewhere so you all can get an idea... or suggest changes. Just let me know.

Nooo... why are you trying so hard to put them to sleep!! One page max, I say. I know mine is way too short with one para, but if you're going over a page you're probably mentioning things which they don't need to know or want to know.

(IMO) The whole idea about a school profile is so they can know where you're coming from - what kind of a school it is, what courses it offers, what the system of grading and stuff like that is

Oh and yeah, put it online. Maybe I can lend a hand - though I can be pretty clueless

Hmm you're right. :-/ My essays are too long to begin with. But its only because I want to let them know as much as possible.

Anyway, here's the link: <a href="http://bluearena.co.uk/%7Etoplistmp3/Prashant%20Vaibhav/web/school%20profile.doc%5B/url%5D">http://bluearena.co.uk/~toplistmp3/Prashant%20Vaibhav/web/school%20profile.doc</a></p>

You need ID and password, look for them on the password prompt window when it pops up.

On a side note, I kinda like Miss Peru, the new Miss World. At least this time it's not a politically biased selection.

Now that I see it, it seems good really. It's written pretty succintly, and you've made bold the important stuff...

You still could work on making it more brief tho.

Will check out Miss Peru right away

Hello hello,

I was wondering. The mail you get when you're subscribed to a thread. I get "Hello astrix, ... ". Do you get "Hello hello, ..."?

I just found that LOL funny.

Regards,
Astrix

P.S. Miss Peru was nice, merc

so why precisely did you like miss peru? my friends said she was really ugly...

I didn't watch the pageant, looked her up online and she was pretty nuff. Really ugly? A Miss World contestant? I would think not...

Ugly? def not! I dont really think any guy can answer 'why precisely' - you want me to say something like 'she has a size C' ?! :p

just got my mid term results, not looking good :(

o dont worry hello you wont have to send these those... right? yeah. you send your preboards and be done with it. tho preboards are notoriously harder than the real thing...

6 days. :)

So when do you guys hear??

I've uninstalled my Gmail notifier, i want to know through regular mail :)
