wrong. as usual

so whss the bong way? and the sanskritized way? and the comboed? which is right?

and dont blame me for getting the bong way wong :p

yeah. my moms tamil. its so annoying cuz both my parents have two-syllable names...and they never write "kanegaonkar" - they just add a ".K" after their names..

ur right abt grad. aid. everyone tells me that nobody gives a dime abt where u did ur undergrad from... they look at ur masters or PhD more than anything else.

lemme take a guess. Suchaarita. with a long "a" in the middle

wrong wrong wrong!

ok. then u say it backwards....cmon. tell us.

hahaha-no I wont. You figure it out :p

lol. i never had heard of that name before...but it sounds good the way i say it...

it does???

okay, it's :

SUCHORITA - right?

hehe you got the bong one right :p

so did the rec stuff work out merc?

well what I'm doing is, i'll go to school on monday, ask the principal to sign another common app school report for me (taking care this time NOT to give her the slightest hint that the ratings have to be marked by her).

She's usually busy enough not to notice. Then, I photocopy the report, attach the signed eval sheets with each copy and send em.

As for teacher recs, well I printed two recs, one for each teacher and made copies of it. Now I just have to get them to sign it.

All will be settled come monday.

Guys be quick: What do you suggest for someone who is applying to MIT and -

doesn't have a passport

was denied admission to TOEFL test center

has physics 800, math 1c 750, 2c 690, but NO WRITING

hasn't taken SAT I

What can he do?

apply next year. he probably started too late. he needs time to be informed about the process, get a passport, and take the tests (despite the financial hardship it may cause him - no way around it)

and if he's desperate to apply for fall 2005... all he can do is write a letter and explain his situation. i don't think it'd work tho. his best choice is to apply for 2006 - and if he already enrolls here meanwhile, not mention that because then they expect you to transfer.

ok for once and for all- my name is pronounced Shuchorita or Sucharita, short 'a' in the middle.

yeah merc- I still think the best option is to write a letter asking for a waiver

got my chem pre boards tom (16th)
Wish me luck :)

how bout sew-chay-reeta? dats i pronounced it anyway lol :D

n hey gudluck hello.. :)

luck to us hello. i have my chem tomorrow too.

I first thought your name was suchitra for some reason... sounds bengali to me. ( remember kabhi haan habhi na?)

Anyway after living in hyderabad delhi chennai and now the US i have officially heared 1000 variations of my first name vignesh. Now even I dont know the correct pronounciation>_<

SO i just go by Vigi which people manage to butcher too sigh
