<p>A girl I know got a 3980/4000 inn SAT's.She is NOT APPLYING to any university abroad.She gave her SAT for the heck of it.SP,u should be thankful that she is not applying.</p>

<p>I applied to the Ivies,Caltech,MIT,Stanford,CMU,Tufts,Duke,Drexel,Purdue,Boston University and maybe Iowa State,UMiami and Southern Methodist University(coz the last 3 promised a full tuition schol)</p>
<p>Major is either elec engg/business at wharton/ economics</p>

<p>SAT scores are crap. 3980/4000 does not mean you'll get in. This is not IIT. Neither does it hurt anyone else's chance. When I get in with 1250, I'll see what you guys have to say about it. :mad:</p>

<p>Sorry, akash, they are pretty stingy towards out-of-state as well as intls.</p>
<p>no schols for freshmen, but you can apply for scholarships after your 1st year, ie soph year onwards you can get schols some even based on need, but the problem is they want to see documentary proof of cash for all 4 years before any admission offer while most schools want only assured 1 year support in docs.</p>
<p>btw does CMU offer any sort of aid??</p>
