Indian Transcripts

hi guys,
just wanted to ask about the "official" transcripts that we have to send to the universities. Since none of our schools in India have such a facility, what do we do?? Do we send an attested copy of the mark sheets or just a photo copy???

wat im doin is gettin a consolidated kind of thing for 9-12 with marks converted to grades made. ill get it printed on letterhead and stamped, signed etc.

Nope.. i wud suggest get the official marksheet itself attested and sent....... that is what they want

Sachit is on track. Go to your school/college is office and just ask for a transcript, they'll probably know what to do.

just make the photocopy of yur transcript and then get it attseted by a "guested officer"(usually a govt officer or a principal).

Bumping......little late though.....still not clear

Smartmid says to get the official marksheet itself.......but that is basically from the Board....not from the school......i think they need something from the school.
I'm just making a list of courses and grades i got and will get it signed by the principal....that should do right?

Because we really didn't have much internal assesment......its basically just the boards

well these marksheets are the internal assesment results from ur schul exams. IN US colleges or any such admission system Board exams are not the sole academic critera and they are a minor part of it all. Instead, well they want al ur grades from the exams in schu to see consistence of performance and not sudden burp in it as in boards...

And well a list made by a student doesnt count, you have to get official letters form the school authorities with authentication to make ur transcipts usable.
