Indiana Kelley School of Business

I applied to Indiana undecided because I did not think I would get in to the business school. I got into Indiana, but now I want to see if I can petition to get into Kelley. The criteria for direct admission to Kelley is a 3.8 GPA on a 4 point scale and a 30 on the ACT. On Kelley’s website it says that you could petition for direct admission if you meet the following criteria:

Exceed in one category for direct admission (GPA or test scores)
Be slightly lower on the remaining component for direct admission (GPA or test scores)

My GPA is a 3.8 on a 4 point scale but my ACT is a 24, should I petition? I can also retake the ACT and get my score up until May 1.

A six point spread on the ACT is probably not what they envisioned as petition viable. It’s quite the gulf.

Do some enormous prep and retake. If you hit a 28 or so, then maybe… best of luck to you. It’s a wonderful school

You shouldn’t bother. You need to exceed one criteria and be very close to the other, and you have done neither
