I have been accepted as a direct admit into Kelley and Emory. I want to study either finance or accounting. Which do you think is better for these majors?? Is Emory on a different level to IU or about the same??
Thanks!

You apply to Goizueta after your sophomore year, so admission is not guaranteed. However, Emory is a much better school overall than IU. I think you should make sure whether or not you want to study in the business school before deciding on which school to attend.

Indiana is supposedly very good for business.

I have a cousin going there for that very reason.

I am not sure how good Emory is for business, but it is a much higher ranked university in general.

Perhaps others on CC will know about Emory’s reputation for business.

My son has applied to Emory. When did you hear from them?

This thread is weird; the OP either was accepted to Emory ED (which is binding) or is anticipating an acceptance and trying to decide prematurely…

Answer to the question depends on where you are anticipating getting a job after graduation…blah, blah, blah…you know the drill:

southeast: leans towards Emory ( assuming you can afford it)

Northeast and anywhere else for that matter: Kelley has the rep…

Yes, I know that Goiuzueta has the rankings…but I know too many Emory business grads who had very little success with job recruitment up here in the NY/NJ area

Thanks for responses. I am in a unquie situation as i have been accepted to kelley as da but applied to Emory ed2. I have till the 30th to change app to regular so I basically need to decide between the two before the end of the month.

Indiana has a better business school

Any more opinions?
