Indiana University - Bloomington Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

Son got into pre-business and waiting for his Kelley petition to be considered. He just submitted that recently tho. For the students that go pre-business, what are the requirements to get admitted to Kelley their freshman or sophomore year? Is it a certain GPA they need? What are the criteria??

Is anyone still waiting for a decision or has everyone heard? We are still waiting and have lost hope, so might be time to move on. IU was D24ā€™s top choice.

Decisions come through Jan 15 - no reason to worry - Iā€™m sure majority of applications came in at end of October and they are getting through them. We have not heard yet applied Oct 30.

Thanks

My DS applied 8/1 - literally the first day that the CommonApp opened up - and has not heard. Jeff has clearly stated that there is no correlation between the admissions decision and when a student is notified. My kid is definitely not ā€œhigh statā€ but is a jump ball in terms of admission.

Havenā€™t heard a response yet. Applied end of October.

Anybody receive a decision on review request to Kelley?

We havenā€™t seen a single admission on here from our kidā€™s program, so figured they havenā€™t worked through that batch yet. Applied end of October.

Mine too! I feel like we might be the last batch to know! :crossed_fingers:Seems like high stat kids are getting accepted first and they will see how many open spots are left.

Nobody on here posted that yetā€¦

Iā€™m not reading into it. Seems like most of what weā€™ve seen is concentrated in a couple of programs and the Honors admits. Awesome for them to hear so soon! But I figure lots of programs, like my kidā€™s, just arenā€™t up in the queue yet.

Keep in mind the acceptances you see here is a very small sample size

Surprised no one received any decision on review requests from Kelley. Last year they started coming at end of November.

Yes! Indiana will accept almost 80% of the 50,000 applicants it gets. The small number on here is a fraction of the 40,000 or so who will get an acceptance.
With the new process this year, the timing of acceptances may be different, but at the end of the season, the overall admits will probably look a lot like last year. And thereā€™s a lot of time left in admissions season!

I have twins who submitted apps around the same time. One has heard back - DA to Kelley, the other has not heard back - applied for CS. Their test scores are similar, gpa, rigor and ECs are higher for the one already admitted. Also they applied to different programs. Hope that helps.

(I think) Accepted to IUB-Finance-BSB 41/45 IB, 1480 SAT. No mail yet regarding DA, hoping for one though.

Also, not sure if this is a acceptance, but the portal is asking for my intent to enroll? Pls help me out here.

Did portal change from applicant to accepted? If so ā€¦ you were accepted!
Does portal say business or pre-business?

Makes sense! My son applied to the Sports Marketing program and a few people on here HAVE been accepted already. They have higher stats than my son, so I concluded they are admitting those students first. I can understand if soā€¦just hoping he will at least get accepted into University Division. He is fine with that!
:slightly_smiling_face:

Iā€™m a intl applicant, so my portal is a bit different. I am attaching a couple pictures, please do let me know if possible.

These things about enrollment were not previously there.

I donā€™t know what your international portal changes mean. Did you try clicking on any of the new items?
I hope you get an email soonā€”that is how you will know for sure. Sounds like most people are getting an email in 2-3 days from the ā€œadmittedā€ change on the portal.
