Indiana university bloomington or pepperdine california?

Hi all!
I have been accepted for the journalism course at Indiana University Bloomington, Pepperdine University california and NYU.
I was really hoping for some financial assistance and scholarships (which fell through) as I really wanted to go to NYU. Sigh. Well, NYU is out of the question now since I can’t afford to pay $75,000 per year.

So now I have to pick from IUB and Pepperdine. I am from India so I can’t exactly visit the campus or the area to help me decide. Is there anyone who knows, among them both, which offers the better course, with more internships and has better campus opportunities?

I read somewhere that Pepperdine’s campus area is relatively unsafe, is that true?
Really anything you guys could tell me about California or Indiana would be helpful.

thanks!

I live near Pepperdine and the area is very safe! The school has excellent facilities. What did you hear about Pepperdine? It is in Malibu and an easy drive from the airport. The campus overlooks the ocean. The weather is Mild, no snow!
I have also been to IU. The campus is beautiful and very large. The weather in winter is hash, snow and many day of below 0 Degree weather.
The schools are very different. Pepperdine is very religious and faith based. IU is large and a state university.

Let me know if I can answer any questions.
