I'm interested in applying to Kelley Business School and I was wondering how competitive it is to get into the school. I was confused because Kelley is a top business school but the acceptance rate is pretty high. What do they look for in the application? Do they give a lot of importance to ECs. My GPA is a 3.7 but my SAT score is a 2350. I have participated in a lot of clubs but I don't have any major leadership positions. Has anyone gotten in with average stats?

Bump

You will get into the school as a whole. however you have more difficulty getting into their business school. It is worth a shot

Best of Luck! Chance me back please

A school’s acceptance rate isn’t necessarily a direct correlation to a school’s ranking. Though most of the nation’s top schools are highly selective, not all of them are. With your stats and amazing SAT score, Kelly Business School is a low match. Good luck.

Are you an Indiana resident?

I know that as an Indiana resident you need a 3.7 GPA and 30 ACT to get in direct admit. I do think they make some exceptions however. You can always get in your second year, which a lot of people do, and if your scores or grades are low is a good option. Are you in state? I think you have a strong chance out of state as well.

I live out of state @lana44 @WorldTraveler97

You will get in. Here is what the Kelley website says:

"For fall 2015 admission, you will automatically be offered direct admission to the Bloomington Kelley School of Business if you have:
- Been admitted to IU Bloomington and indicated one of Kelley’s business majors as your intended major.
- Earned a composite ACT score of 30 or SAT total score of 1270 (we include only math and critical reading sections on SAT). The Kelley School of Business accepts superscores for both the ACT and SAT.
- Earned a cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale during your high school career. Indiana University accepts weighted GPAs (if provided on the high school transcript). Please note that all GPAs will be converted to a 4.0 scale.

You will only be offered direct admission if you have met all of these requirements. Direct admission is offered solely on these stated criteria. If you meet the criteria for direct admission any time between August 1, 2014 and July 31, 2015, you will be offered direct admission to Kelley."
