Indiana University Bloomington?

Any body transferred here in the past?

And when do people generally find out if they get accepted for transfer for a fall semester?

Wow..anybody*...

I applied to transfer next year!

I was just accepted for Fall 09' recently. They have rolling admissions, so the earlier you apply the better your chances, but I'm not sure it works the same with transfers. It took a few months to get their decision when it typically takes freshman 4-6 weeks. I've heard of other transfers having similar delays.

Yeah, I sent my transcripts in just over a month ago, but my application in back in November. I got a 3.3 and they say that a competitive candidate for transfer will have a 2.7 or above. Do I sound good as far as GPA? I also have a very good application that I sent in.

Oh and yesterday I found out that they accepted 936 transfer students last year, which was 79% of the applicants (I believe).

I'm honestly not the right person to ask as far as your chances, but as a reference I have a 3.6 with an upward trend and applied as a marketing major. I would assume you have a great shot though looking at those admissions numbers you posted, though it will probably be more difficult this year taking into account the economy. I wish you the best of luck though!

Are you a transfer or an incoming freshmen? Because the way you're talking sounds like you're coming in as a freshmen. Freshmen have higher standards.

I'm a junior transfer.
