Forgot to add that i received 10k per year from dean’s scholarship. Scholarship notice came about a month after acceptance. Even though I know I won’t be pursuing business or music, IU still has strong programs in education, dance, and public health. After freaking out over so many “better” universities, t’s weird for me to admit that financially and academically, IU might be the best for me!

General Comments: Very excited to be accepted into my dream school! However, one thing that does slightly worry me is the fact that I have not been notified of being eligible for any merit-based scholarships. I guess my question is that if I am not in the range for the selective scholarship eligibility, is there still a chance for me to still be awarded any automatic merit-based scholarships at a later date? I know my stats aren’t outstanding by any means, but still well within IU’s average incoming freshman range. It has always been my dream to attend this school, however it would be fairly disappointing if I came away with zero dollars worth of merit scholarship money. If anybody has any insight to my predicament, I would greatly appreciate your response!
Go Hoosiers!
My son received his merit scholarship letter about three weeks after he received his acceptance letter. It can’t hurt to call their financial aid office to clarify, good luck.
My application was completed November 11. I was accepted three days ago. I was wondering when they notify you about scholarships because there was no mention in the acceptance email.
@lizzieck, the deadline for qualifying for scholarships was November 1. See this site:

@hoosiernation10, was your application completed by November 1?
