hey guys, i am really interested in going to IU and i am glad that they have direct admission so i don’t have to think about applying to a million colleges. i need a few questions answered

do you automatically get admitted if you meet all the requirements?

if i wanna apply for the scholar scholarship which is due dec. 1, would it be too late if i took the sats in december?

thanks!

Granted your applying to Kelley, this is what carolyn just told me today.

Minimum requirement is to be in the top 10% of your high school class and have a 1270 SAT. See here: http://www.kelley.iu.edu/ugrad/diradmit.html
Keep in mind, those are the minimums to be considered for direct admissions as a freshman - if you read this link below in detail, you'll see the median for direct admits is in the 1300's.

When you read the second link, pay close attention to what it will take to get in as a sophomore in junior. Go to the Kelley site and read all of the exact courses they want students already in IU to have taken before applying to Kelley. Make sure you take them exactly.

so if i get anything around that area (1316) it's an automatic in? the reason i am asking you this is because my resume is way above their standards such as my gpa and class rank but my sat is kinda low (1270 to be exact) which is a funny since their minimum is 1270. anyways, so would it be too late to take the december sats and still have a chance to be qualified for the dec. 1 deadline for scholarships?

any other opinions?

isnt this a huge parrttty school? how will you focus!?

colderemy- why don't you contact the admissions office and ask them?
IU is a large university but has many excellent departments, including the Kelley School. You can focus on your academics at IU just as easily as anywhere else- you just have to want to do it!

you guys arent really answering my question. would it be too late to qualify for the scholar scholarship if i re-take the sats in december and its deadline is dec. 1 ?

the question can be answered well by the adcomm and college itself.. send and email saying and asking for the information.

hope this helps
