i've taken the most difficult classes in high school, have 3.9 avr, 33 ACT, and thiniing about a business major. heard good things about IU. does anyone know how much in scholarships possible for OSS. also, what other schools should be checked out.

Check out the IUB website. There is a scholarship page. You at least be will be eligible for the automatic scholarship for $9000.

You might also post this in the IU forum. Many of the posters there are Kelley school hopefuls/students. I don't really know much about the business scholarships as D will not be a business major.

thanks. i'm heading to the IU forum now.

You'll get the automatic scholarship of $9000 (IU Distinction). After that, the money is hard to get. You'll be invited to fill out a Selective Scholarship Application, that will scholarships available but are competitive to get. In addition, there are Kelley scholarships for direct admit freshmen, those are hard to get as well. You're looking at $9000 + SSA scholarships + Kelley scholarships, which could only be $9000 but the SSA and Kelley could add a few thousand.

money is a concern, too bad there's no receprocity with illinois students. meantime, i've read about the shortage of dorms and pervasiveness of drinking at iu. are these real problems? also, what other schools would you suggest checking out?

Some other schools that have an undergrad business program that I think you should take a look at are:
Michigan (Ross)
Illinois - Urbana Champaign (in-state --- prob best bargain)
Wisconsin
NYU (Stern)
USC (Marshall)
Washington University (Olin)
Emory (Goizueta)
Notre Dame (Mendoza)
Ohio State (Fischer)
Purdue (Krannert)

If you want to major in economics (sometimes a better route than an undergrad business degree) you can check out:
U Chicago
Northwestern
Dartmouth
Brown
