Indiana University

I am going into my senior year in high school & my top choice of school is IU. My GPA is 3.2 (rough freshmen year, good sophomore year, great junior year) and a 28 on the ACT. It seems i have a fifty/fifty shot but i want to know the experiences of people who have gotten accepted. Also i am trying to decide whether or not to apply early or try and get really good grades my first semester of senior year to improve my gpa. any suggestions?

What school are you applying to, because the business school is much higher than a 28 and more like a 32+. As well, your GPA is set in stones now, as senior year grades do not factor into GPA, but only show that you are taking rigorous courses.

I’m applying as undecided. I know that the Kelly School of Business is hard to get into. if i decide business as my major i will work hard freshmen year to achieve that. about the GPA, so are you suggesting i should apply early? thanks!

my brother got in with those exact stats. you will probably not be able to directly go into Kelly, if that’s what you’re aiming for. do you participate in any extracurriculars/APs?

@sb68702 that is so encouraging to hear!! & yes, that is something i’m pretty much sure of. If i do decide that business is my ideal major i’ll work my ass off freshmen year to try to get in kelley! & yes, i have participated in many clubs and i play volleyball. I also took ap’s and honors throughout high school

that’s great, because he only did a few ECs and a couple APs. If IU is your top school, you should maybe apply ED. Btw- I was in Bloomington today and it was beautiful!

@sb68702 oh good thank you! that’s extremely comforting to know! & yes!!! so pretty! i’m visiting in August again

eat at Mother Bears, Buffalouies, or Nicks, lol
