Indiana University??

What is the first thing that comes to mind??

"Breaking Away"

basketball and music.

Music. It is the first choice school of many music or music education majors, even those from other parts of the country.

Remember "The Music Man"?

Bobby Knight

Indiana limestone

My alma mater :)

Bloomington is reported to be a great college town. Top academic program. Rah rah and 'pomp and happenstance' at the same time.

My underage nephew partying 'til the cows come home. ;)

unfortunately that is the image I have as well mof3sons
when my niece applied her dad was a disabled vet( for hearing loss although his hearing is better than mine) in Indiana so she got free tutition , however after a couple years she wanted something besides the party and came back to Washington

Absolutely beautiful campus. Park-like. Good language program.

Major Greek life.

"Cutters."

Hoosiers, and Bobby Knight

great memories of my time there (MBA)

Bone chilling cold when we visited (Feb). It didnt look very park like at that time of year.
Lots of Indiana Limestone.Museum stood out in its modernity.
Lovely, friendly staff and faculty members (School of Music).Easily the best audition process D went through.
Far from the city/airport.Bloomington looked interesting, wish it had been warmer to walk around more.Ate Tibeatan food.
Lots of school spirit.Friends S who graduated last year loved his time there so much,he stayed in Indiana and moved to Indianapolis.

Ballet. They have the most highly regarded, most competitive ballet college program in the US. And that's a fact!

My friend just moved to Indiana and said the people there are incredibly nice and friendly. She lived in the northeast (NY/NJ) area and said the pace is so slow and pleasant. It appears to make up for the more..limited..cultural offerings. :-)

Just a thought.

My son is a music major there and loves it--great music school, especially for students of classical music. Good overseas study program. Beautiful campus. Top business school. Neat little ethnic restaurants that aren't too expensive. Way too much partying...
