Indians at UIUC?

<p>Hi people.. just wondering how strong the indian community in UIUC.. cos i probably may go there. I got in the mech engineering department...</p>

SAT2: Maths-780 Chemistry-770 Physics-800
10th exam results(from Cambridge O-level): 6A’s and 2B’s(Hindi and Social Science so its okay)
12th exam results(A’s for PCM, A-level)</p>

<p>that’s about it, just do lots of ECA’s and write some good essay… and you would get in too!!!</p>

<p>If diversity is * that * important to you, then UIUC is not the ideal place. Especially since 80% of the people are in-state.</p>

<p>The rest 20% is dominated by asians. It’ll give you some very nice details abt that place.</p>

<p>Nonetheless, it’s a big BIG university. I’m sure you’ll come across all kinds of students.</p>

<p>Also search for UIUC common data set, it’ll give you a major-wise, ethnic (and LOTS of other things) breakdown of the student body at UIUC.</p>
