Cool, im probably going there this fall, so I will hopefully see you there

The South Asian Society is the largest student organization on campus. While not quite a plurality, I think South Asians are quite abundant (I say this as a South Asian and recent graduate)

im indian...yeah there are a lot of brown ppl at rice

DESH is that you???

hahah YEAHHH whats up man

why do u refer to urself as brown? thats pretty ambiguous...alot of people are brown but i know what u mean

well "brown" can mean any ppl of south asian descent, not just indian...yeah it is pretty ambiguous though

elvenani, that also is so ambigous that it sounds like many BROWN U people transferred ;)

haha im veeeryy sorry i'll be more specific next time

lol, was quite funny tho :D

I'm an Indian freshman (soon to be sophomore), and I discovered after coming to Rice that there really weren't as many Indians at the school as I had expected. However, if you're part of the SAS, you can get to know a lot of brown people :)

so, how is it?

I will be there this fall.Awaiting my I-20 anytime.

ur in chennai??? so am I!! :)
where do u live? and can u pm me ur contact details... maybe we can get in touch.

and whats an I-20 btw?

well, I really like SAS because you can be as involved as you want to. There are shows each semester in which you can participate (I did dances both semesters) and there are also sponsored trips to good Indian restaurants around Houston.
