Hi everyone...
Does anyone knows some colleges...where many indians or asian people gets admitted..?with financial aid ???I know not too many indians get selected but a few ???

Not that many schools have much financial aid for international students Rko/rik. It's not a matter of being from India -- it's anywhere outside of the USA. Only a very very few (like Yale) are rich enough to admit internationals regardless of ability to pay.

Well if the student is good enough he will get the aid he/she deserves. There are no such colleges that guarantee aid to Indians/asians.

Aj,

this is not quite true because there are many international students who are "good enough" and who "deserve" aid. The same could be said about students who are U.S. citizens/ U.S. permanent residents.

However, even the richest schools operate within finanical aid budgets to ensure that they are able to provide aid in future years. The schools that can meet full need with limited loans and are also need blind are some of the most competitive as far as gaining admissions. At the end of the day the yeild for interational students will be approximately 100 students and there will still be thousands applying so it will be an uphill battle to be admitted.

I understand...but do anyone knows some colleges where some indians r studying ???Names???(only undergraduates...)

I got your point, sybbie.

Rko : You are going to find atleast one Indian at majority of the colleges. We are everywhere..... :D

Ask on the international board here. You'll probably get plenty info.
I am guessing that most universities in the U.S. have some Indian students studying there, but that doesn't mean the students are getting financial aid.

Northstarmom: True. From what I have seen majority of the students are self funded.

Rko checkout the Indian Thread in the International forum. Most of the applicants contribute significant amount to their tuition but there are also people like me who need full aid.
