I just talked with another cc mom and we are proposing that any cc parents staying at the Andrew meet at the continental breakfast on Wednesday morning around 8am. If kids want to come or sleep in, let that be their choice.

Not to dis the Andrew, but the "continental breakfast" is a pretty dreary affair. I would describe it but it's early in the morning. If you are curious stick your head in the door... As an alternative, about two blocks away is "Bruce's" a combination bakery and breakfast joint with a full menu. I think they open at 7 am but you can check. In any case they at least offer some variety and lots of kids heading to Indoc will be there with there families. Good luck to all of you.

I asked my recently graduated son where people could eat breakfast in Great Neck. His frist response was SEVEN SEAS, but I didn't think that was IN Great Neck. His second response was BRUCE'S. Just adding 2 cents' worth.

Rain slickers and umbrellas in order for all hubbies, to shield from the salt spray of all these mommies sending off their young charges into the tender mercies of the DIs. ;)

And I am just as excited, proud, apprehensive, etc.

And to come complete clean with you Moms, I AM CERTAIN I'll be hiding behind one of those umbrellas so you won't see this guy acting like the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz.. right after Dorothy slaps him .... Just a bawling by eyeballs out (VERY high pollen cloud concentration)

I should be easy to spot... Look for the man with an umbrella sitting on a pallet of Kleenex that I'll have Costco drop-ship at the front door !!! 8) I'll share.

I am convinced this will be one of the hardest things we'll see.
It will be the last time we see our kids our way.
We love them too much to teach them the way they have volunteered and sworn to serve.
I am proud of each and every one of them !

Best of luck to us all, and most especially to THEM -- these are such great kids!
