Hi, I am currently a first year student at UC in the engineering program, but I am planning on transitioning into Industrial Design. I was wondering if anyone who was accepted could tell me their overall GPA/what kind of student you are? In high school, I graduated with a GPA of 3.8 and I took several AP courses. I was also wondering, do they consider your AP studio art portfolio/the grade you received? (I received a 4/5) I am just extremely nervous about not getting in because this is the only major I want to go into. If anyone could offer advice it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

My daughter is a freshman in ID currently. I can’t remember her stats honestly but I know they didn’t take a portfolio. For transfer students, I think you should make sure your focus on having the highest GPA you can at UC. Also, I would recommend seeing if you can set up time with an advisor at DAAP and see what they recommend. Good luck! It’s a great program but very intense.
