Industrial Engineering at Northeastern or Binghamton or RPI

My son has been accepted at Northeastern University and Binghamton. His other schools are RPI and RIT. His major is Industrial and Systems Engineering and he really loved Northeastern due to the coops and location. The price of Binghamton is tempting, but I do not want to be cheap with my son's education and sacrifice job and career opportunities. He is smart and appears to be able to handle an engineering program, but is not a real high tech person, very social. Any input on comparing Northeastern versus Binghamton and RPI?

Did he get aid at any of the three?
How much can you afford to pay?

RPI is the strongest of these choices for engineering. However, I think the NEU coop program is fantastic and is a strong selling point.

Are you NY residents? If there is still time, I would consider having him apply to SUNY-Buffalo. I think it is generally stronger than Bing for engineering. That might be a good middle option.

I wouldn’t choose RIT unless it has some unusually strong draw for him.

Sorry to double post, but I reread your post and for industrial engineering UB is a very good school. It’s almost as strong as RPI.

What UB are you referring to? Are you saying that Industrial and Systems Engineering at Binghamton is almost as good as RPI? Thanks for your input.

UB = University at Buffalo = SUNY Buffalo

Bing is definitely not as good as RPI.
