Industrial Engineering vs. Construction Management

<p>Is there really any difference with the two?</p>

<p>My friend who is going to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obsipo in California was telling me about Construction Management and it sounded really interesting and I wanted to look it up for Berkeley but I couldn't find it but i found IE...are they closely related?</p>

<p>The only similarity between the two is that they both lead to management-like positions. If you want to go into the construction management field, then I suggest majoring in civil engineering since that’s the closest (some say that CM is a concentration within civil engineering).</p>
