Interview Advice
When Case Western Reserve interviews potential applicants, our goals are to learn more about you and to answer any questions you may have about the university. How can you make the most of this time?

Ask questions about things that are important to you, like curricula, majors, financial aid, residence life, social activities and extracurricular interests. When you ask specific questions, it shows your interest in CWRU.

Anticipate questions the interviewer might ask you. Here are some possibilities:
Why are you interested in CWRU?
Have you read any good books lately?
How would your friends describe you?
What is your general motivation for going to college?

Know where you are going. Leave home with our address, or the off-campus site if you have an alumni or hometown interview, a contact phone number and a good set of directions.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission is located in Wolstein Hall: 11318 Bellflower Rd., Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Our phone number is 216.368.4450.
Wear comfortable, but tasteful clothes. You don’t need a three-piece suit to make a positive impression, but faded jeans and dirty sneakers may make a negative one.
Arrive early. Give yourself time to relax in the reception area and fill out any forms. If it is an on-campus interview, you may even want time to stroll around campus.
At the conclusion, thank your interviewer and request his or her business card. When you return home, send the interviewer a thank you note or email and ask any questions that may have come up since the interview.

Since my D’s interviewer was a Chem major (my D was interested in Chemistry), she asked about his experience with CWRU Chem department ie. Research, work load, tutoring sessions.

It gave him a chance to talk about his own experience and reminisce a little. It was evident that he enjoyed sharing his experience, and my D gained useful information from it.

Good luck!

CWRU is a great school.

How did the interview go?

went very well mainly the interviewer just said why she liked the school etc and we talked about programs/internships research and she asked me a few questions about my self
