Inexpensive nighttime face creams

I don’t think paying a lot for face cream is worth it, though for years I used Clinique. My daily choice for face cream is Aveeno. I use Positively Radiant with SPF 30 and I think it’s a really great daily moisturizer. I’m not wild about the Absolutely Ageless Aveeno I use at night though. What inexpensive nighttime facial creams do you ladies (or gents) swear by?

I use L’oreal age perfect hydra nutrition day creme, at night. I had originally bought it for day use, but it is thick and heavy and works great for night. I have very dry skin, so I guess it is skin type dependent. I have never understood what the difference between a day creme and a night creme. Anybody?

I swear by this serum. I was getting teeny tiny little wrinkles around my top lip, I started using this each night on my face and after 6 months they were almost gone. Still are after 2 years. Discovered it from Angie HotandFlashy. I use the Vitamin C with Ferulic Acid in the morning.

It lasts about 4 to 5 months.

@CottonTales , creams worn at night tend to be heavier and/or greasier. I live in the Northeast and the air gets bone dry in the winter, so I need something a little heavier for night.

Not sure if this is considered inexpensive. I like IT’s Secret Sauce.

Just looked that up, and for 2 ounces at $79, I’d say that counts as expensive. ?

I’m think around the $25 mark, tops.

@Lindagaf , i am in the Northeast as well. The L’oreal product in my previous post is just that, heavier and greasier. That is why I turned it into my night creme.

I recently started using Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream and really like it. I have used their regular lotion for years during the day after a dermatologist recommended it but I need something heavier at night, especially in the winter. You can buy it at Walgreeens (which often has a buy one get one 1/2 off deal), Target, Ulta,Amazon, etc. You might want to shop around for the best price if you decide to try. You can also print out coupons from Cerave’s website.

At first I thought the jar was a little small but it seems to be lasting awhile and I use a lot of it.

I can get Aveeno stuff for you (or anyone else, PM me) for dirt cheap, like a tiny fraction of whatever you are paying.

Following this! I’ve noticed the Clinique I’ve been using is leaving my face feeling so dry! I definitely need something different.

I live in the northeast too and a friend recommended Waleda Skin Food.
Ive been using it for about a month and i really see/feel a big difference in my face. It is very heavy/oily, but that’s just what i need for the cold winter air
There is also a Light version that is supposed to be less heavy but the original version is just what my face needed this winter
A small tube is about $14

Forgot to add, I only use the Waleda Skin Food at night. Much too oily for daytime use

I just started using Youth To The People Superberry Hidrate + Glow Oil. It sells for $44 but I bought it using a 25% discount. It is worth every penny. I like to try different creams and oils. I don’t know if I would use it in the summer but right now it is totally helping.

Wow! I must really like it bc I’m generally a tightwad! Haha!

Has anyone ever tried Exuviance?

Boots No. 7 (there are a couple of formulas). Someone gave me this and I didn’t think I would like it because I’m sort of a product snob, but it is great! You can get it at drugstores and Target. It’s big in Europe.

@sarha I use Weleda arnica massage oil, and it is really great. I love the smell. I don’t think I’d use it on my face because it is just oil, but I’ll look into the cream.

@MomofWildChild , if you can, let me know specifics. I’m going to the UK in a couple of weeks. That’s where Boots started.

I like La Roche Posay Toleraine Double Repair Face Moisturizer. They have a daytime version with sunscreen and one for nighttime w/o sunscreen. It has a really nice consistency, rich but not greasy feeling. $20 for about 2.5 oz. CVS has it and I usually have a coupon, lasts a long time.

Boots No. 7 Mine is in the blue jar- I think it is the “Lift and Luminate”. “Restore and Renew” is also good. It’s about $27 a jar here.
