Are there cheap parking places available near Harvard College in Cambridge? Last time I paid $ 4 an hour to park in a parking lot. Therefore, if parents can guide me to the parking places that are relatively cheaper, it would help my pocket tremendously.

On other hand, what about a hotel near Harvard that is reasonable priced.

Is there a parking garage or hotel, which is conveniently connected to Harvard Campus? I am sure few parents would be in our shoes to get this information. Thanks.

$4. per hour to park near Harvard? That's cheap! The best thing to do is to use the subway. Your best bet would be to leave your car at a suburban parking lot and take the T (or leave it at Alewife station, the end of the Red line).
I'm assuming that you will want to come for admitted students weekend in April? In that case it's a good idea to make reservations early. PM me and I will try to help.

Harvard Square Hotel is the least expensive near campus, not fancy but prices go up around Harvard events;

a friend always stayed at Cambridge Gateway Inn (?) when his daughter was a student; on-line it looks rather modest; might be close to the subway.

Days Inn at 1800 Soldier's Field Road is fine, but certainly not fancy; IHOP and McDonalds next door; about a mile+ away with free parking - a little far for walking

For admitted students weekend, they might have B-school or other parking with special passes; might be able to get day parking the same way - about $9; check the H site

On Move-In weekend, Harvard gave free parking at a local garage. I don't think they did that on Admitted Students Weekend but then again, I might just not have known about it. Do check.
