Inflating a GPA before Transfer

Ok, I had a poor start at a community college ( a few B's and a Ton of C's) and decided after 3 years to go back to school. I'm doing ok at the new community college (A's and B's). I've already completed all of the IGETC requirements and have a 2.85 GPA. Both CC's are California Community Colleges and have transfer agreements with the UC's. I'm looking to transfer as an Economics major. I already have more than the maximum 105 transfer units.

I worked fulltime through college, served in the Army National Guard for a couple of years, and built my own company from the ground up in the Information Technology Industry. So I think my background and personal statement will be helpful to my case.

I have no sense of urgency to get into a 4-yr school so my question is will a UC look unfavorably if I keep taking classes that are UC transferrable to improve my GPA. For example, taking more classes in Art, History, Business, etc....

Has anyone had success with this?

Should I just look at going to a Cal State instead?

i think if ur not picky about which UC u go to then i don’t see why u won’t be able to attend a UC
and inflating ur GPA doesn’t necessary mean a bad thing. most people do it aniwaes
look for transfer programs like the one with UCI 4got whats it called.
i 4got the required GPA it was smth like 2.8 or 3.0 really don’t recall

but yea if u want something just do what u can to achieve that goal.
ur life experience would definitely help u with ur admissions.

in ur PS mayB u should mention y u spent more time at a CC. plz do not mention not having the urgency to attend a 4 year. that’ll get u pwned lol

Re-take those C’s first and foremost.

you can’t retake anything you got a c or better in

Wow, really? I had no idea… oops.

pull up your GPA above a 3.0 & get a transfer agreement w/ UC Davis
