I was accepted to the 2017 SOAR program at Rice and people have been telling me I’m basically accepted to the university itself…is this accurate to some extent? Are there any statistics that are published on the matter?? Thank you so much!
Rice heavily weights demographic factors like being a URM in the admissions process. SOAR is not a guarantee of admission but it does dramatically improve your prospects. Best of luck!
While is not a guarantee, it is a very strong indicator of Rice’s interest in you. My daughter’s suite mate attended SOAR last year, was admitted, and chose to attend Rice.
