Alright so I got accepted to the Lincoln Center campus with a generous financial aid package and a rejection from campus housing. I live in Washington Heights half an hour away from Columbus Circle and know the city like the back of my hand so I know I would enjoy the area. The thing is I've seem most of the questions and info on here are about Rose Hill. So can anyone tell me what the Lincoln Center campus is like? Like the class sizes, how nice it looks on the inside, the people and their attitude, the party scene, all that stuff. Thanks in advance.

It’s ugly. That about sums up FCLC, the world’s ugliest campus, as I’m concerned. Rose Hill looks amazing, LC was horribly neglected.

LC also seems to attract a certain type of student—which, unless you are that type of student—you’ll understand what I’m talking about within thirty seconds of entering the campus.

Makes me wonder what’s wrong with me…

Anyway, LC reminds me of high school, a little too much; both in appearance and student behavior.

The class sizes are small. My smallest class has six or seven students, my largest class has maybe twenty.

The people and their attitude. Hmm…in short, snotty.

I am on the LC campus, but I like RH much better. It’s a completely different environment there.

well i have to say man you summed up exactly what i was afraid of about lincoln center.
the “certain type of student” bit. well that just scares me.
and the campus. i mean the surrounding area is so nice but you’re right on the outside the campus is ugly as hell. and small. what the hell is 8 acres…
oh and the high school thing. that scares me the most. no college experience. that sucks.

alright so i have a question. fordham gave me a nice package for fin aid and it sums up to me going there for around 8K and living at home.
stony brook on the other hand gave me squat because they had problems with my paperwork. so…
its living at home+8K at fordham or living in stony brook+15K of which i need to take out loans cause my dad wont pay.
what do i do?

i know a girl that goes to lincoln center.

she’s an assshole.

lol
spectacular…
gonna have to rethink this then…

Depends on the person. I’d think the artsy/hipster types would go to Fclc, while the more -ugh, hate to use these terms-preppish, typical college-experience types would to go to RH. And I think saying lincoln center has “no college experience” is sort of misleading yourself. It may not be a typical one, but if you go there, you will have a “college experience”. But different strokes for different folks.
And you can switch campuses pretty easily, if it’s really that important to you. I know a lot of people have been switching between campuses. And you might even be able to get housing.
I’ve met people from LC (and stayed in contact with), who have been very nice. I hope to mix between campuses this year, and meet as many people as possible.
