Info. About Wharton

I’ve heard that Wharton undergrads can get high paying jobs without going to grad school, if they are at the top of their class. Is this true?

I've heard that being in the top 25% is a big deal, but I'm not sure what exactly that translates to after graduation.

In terms of starting salary, even a Wharton grad will have some trouble beating an engineer. However, salaries for a Wharton grad tend to rise very quickly afterward (see the 10 year-out salary data for wharton). Wharton is the best place to go for IBanking; if you're good, you'll easily make more money than a lawyer or doctor after a few years, without the grad school.

whats the starting salary like? 120,000 a year?

LOL you wish

(...no, not usually. but it's possible.)

it's important to remember that some of the grads are connected like crazy. if they end up going to work in daddy's hedge found or mommy's fortune 500 company, then of course they are going to make a lot of money. just because they are successful, however, doesnt mean the average grad is going to be.

yeah. definately, though, check out the career services site, and see what people do with their degrees. Its cool seeing people going to typical stuff like Harvard Law/Business, or having really weird jobs right after school
