I got my scholarship letter today, and it said that "Explore USC" has 2 dates available (Feb. 23-24 and Feb 27-28 or something), and the maximum number of students that can come for each date is 175.

175 x 2 = 350

So I guess the maximum number of candidates for trustee is 350.

100~120 trustee scholars from 350... so they are basically cutting down another two-third of the candidates from the interview.. That's kinda scary...lol

lol Isn't it?! I'm freaking out. Even if every trustee candidate filled up the trustee and presidential spots (not likely, but this is strictly hypothetical), there would still be around 100 people who qualified for trustee and ended up getting no scholarship at all.

hey, what's with there being more scholarship dates on here? on that USC Hosting website? (Thursday & Friday February 23 & 24; Monday & Tuesday February 27 & February 28 )

Ack I took off the link (sorry)...anyway, you mean the April ones? I think that's for after all of the acceptance letters are sent out, and everyone has a chance to visit USC, but I'm not positive.

no, i'm not offended nor anything of that sort
There's just too many people overanalyzing numbers and statistics, especially threads that strive to answer "what are my chances for -fill in ur ultimate dream school/scholarship here-"
...but really, will stressing about percentages for admission or a scholarship (in this case) affect how you approach the interview? in any case, u should simply try ur best.
Maybe the pointlessness i see in chances threads add to this annoyance

to godlysic, there might be more notifications on their way throughout feb.

I wasn't trying to overanalyze numbers or anything...it just hit me how well I have to do on my interview to be given any type of scholarship. Anyway, sorry it annoyed you. :P

As a note, there are also Dean's scholarship, for quarter tuition, which are given to some people who didn't get presidential/trustee. I don't think there is a separate interview for them.
