Hi! I'm thinking of doing club tennis next year, (as opposed to varsity tennis) could someone give me some information regarding that?

Will a club sport fulfill PE credit requirement?

Do you need to try out to get in, or is it no cut?

How rigorous is the practice/game schedule for club tennis? i.e. how many days a week, or how many hours per day

Are there a lot of extra consts in joining a club sport, such as transportation or clothing fees?

A club sport is not signed up for as a course, right?

Thank you so much, any input would be great!

Yes it can; it depends on the number of hours per week of practice you must attend. And you can only get a certain amount of credit.

Generally it is no cut, though this varies by sport. Rugby, for example, will be more competitive since many people are interested in it, but I’m not sure if they end up having to cut people or not.

No idea about club tennis.

Varies by sport; not as much as a varsity sport, but club sports are limited by the amount of money allotted to them through Student Activities Office.

Correct. All club sports/PE do not count as a course on your transcript – only classes count.

There will be a PE Orientation event scheduled during Orientation Week. You should go to that as they can answer more of your questions.
