Info on freshman housing with pictures!!!!!

Ok so me and a couple of people have been updating this website http://nyuhousing.wikispaces.com/
in an attempt to help us all out with questions on housing. If you have any info to add, that would be great. if not... just browse around. all the freshman dorms have basic info and pictures. some are more complete than others.
thanks.

thanks, looks great!

Amazing (10char)

Ditto to the thousand power.

dang, this actually helped answer a bunch of my questions.

Can a mod make this into a sticky as it would elimate hundreds of threads asking the same thing

last2acntsbanned - why do your accounts keep getting banned? and why do you keep making stupid sns that say they are getting banned?

Yeh, sticky this; site's really informative

bump for the people who havent seen this link...

bump

when are they going to sticky this?

How far are the dorms from main campus?

there isn't really a "main campus"...the closest thing to it would be Washington Square. go to NYU.edu and search "interactive map" or something like that and a page with an online map should come up...just kinda count the blocks, i guess.

Rubin is about 3-4 blocks from WS, I think. Most freshman dorms are pretty close, and some are right on the square like Hayden. There is one that I think is kinda far from WS...it might be Third North or UHall, but I'm not sure...

third north and uhall are probably the farthest freshman dorms and although it may look like 3N is further, they're about the same

Thanks.......

Im livign in rubin next year, and i stopped by to check out the dorm and scout some cool bars/restaurants/deli's around it, while i was there i stood at the arch in washington square, and checked the time, then walked up at my normal pace to rubin, (5th and 10th), it was exactly 3 minutes.

thanks for the info (very good to know :) )

(bump)

bump......

Wow i really liked this, thanks alot i've been searching for something similar for the last few weeks!

Wow, great info. Thanks so much!

Also why doesn't NYU allow cordless phones?
