How are they with their "Journalism" programs? Hows the social life in these schools? Please inform me with anything you know.

I have heard that Ithaca is good for journalism, but personally do not know anything. I am from NJ and can tell you that Rowan is a school known for two things: engineering and teaching. They have no name recognition and since they received money many years ago for their engineering school, they have really not been in the limelight. You might want to check out Syracuse for journalism, but I think you need to apply to that school as freshman, as it is supposedly the toughest college withing the U to gain admission to.

I vivisted Ithaca in the spring and it seemed wondeful. I loved it! The campus is absolutely gorgeous, trees and green grass, a pond, mountains and one of the finger lakes in the distance. The people seemed very nice and laidback there. Facilities were nice. Not sure about the journalism program but communications did seem to be a popular major. I believe they have a specific communications facilities tour as well, so the program must be good. Oh and it's Ithaca COLLEGE, not university. Not trying to sound condescending, just didn't want you to write university in an essay or on their app. or sumthing. Good luck!

By reputation UNC has a strong journalism program. Social life is great. Tough to get into out of state. Also consider U Georgia.
