<p>Is anyone familiar with the following summer programs?</p>
<p>Indiana U - High School Journalism Institute
University Iowa - Summer Journalism Workshop for High School
Penn State Institute for High School Broadcast Journalists
Brown University Summer Continuing Studies courses</p>
<p>While I'm not familiar with those programs, I do know that Northwestern has an excellent summer journalism program.</p>
<p>Yes, NSM - Northwestern's program is wonderful. Unfortunately, it overlaps with D's summer ballet intensive program. I tried persuading her to forgo the ballet this summer or work the ballet around Northwestern's program. She felt there was no guarantee she would get accepted into Medill's program and she really wants to dance this summer in San Francisco.</p>
<p>All of the above programs would allow her to do both dancing and journalism/writing.</p>
<p>My S is going to the Indiana program this summer. There is a member here (username CTLor) who went last year. I PM'd him last week to ask about it and he said he really enjoyed it and felt that it helped his writing skills.</p>
