I received an email saying a company is having an info session this Thursday at 7:00P at my school. They said an Ambassador will present a company overview and accept resumes. It's one of the companies on my list for the Career Fair, so I'm thinking of going to learn more about them. Do we have to dress up for this info session? Will a dress shirt, pants, shoes and belt work or do I need the jacket?

Business casual. You don't need the jacket, but feel free to throw a blazer or sportscoat on if you'd like.

You definitely don't need an entire suit.

Thanks. Are career fairs business casual too?

I think my school enforced at least a shirt an tie for guys, and requested that they wear suits. Girls could wear pretty much anything except sweats and jeans.

IMO, info sessions are more business casual as you're there to get information about the company and won't be interacting one to one with the recruiter unless you're a true go getter. Since you're talking directly with recruiters at a career fair, dress to impress! Collared shirt, slacks, and a tie will do.

Wrong, you talk to recruiters at events.
