<p>I think the only way is to type a few sentences in the passage and see if it’s available on Google. This method works most of the time, except when dealing with old passages which have not been publicized online.
The italicized information given at the beginning is rather vague, but sometimes it does help. There’s one that clearly states that the passage is taken from Elizabeth Butler’s novel about her work in the Yucatan Peninsula, for example.</p>
