Information about Temple's Communication/Education/Psychology Programs

As of now, probably the three fields I’m most interested in, and I’m very intrigued by Temple’s automatic full tuition +stipends. Can anyone tell me the academic quality of these programs at Temple? Any help would be appreciated!

My son is in communications school and really enjoys it. it seems to have a reasonable to good reputation. He receives the scholarship you mentioned and gets emails from his dept and from honors about various opportunities on and off campus.

he and other scholarship recipients joined the Dean of Communications and other faculty for an informal lunch and idea exchange this spring. intro classes in his major were about 150 students. he is entering his 3rd semester at Temple soon and his largest communications class is 25 people, which is great for such a big school. he has taken many of the core requirements in other programs(eg science, math, humanities) as honors classes and has enjoyed every honors class at Temple.

Due to scholarship, his total costs to attend Temple should be around 80K which is not bad for college these days. He opted for Temple because he really liked it and decided the cost difference between there and higher ranked schools was not worth it to pay so much extra money to have a big name degree. like you, he would have plenty of college choices to go to. Also, the honors program in some ways is like a smaller college experience within a huge college. They really keep an eye out for their kids and will assist the honors kids as much as the kids want and seek assistance plus they keep the kids abreast of lots of opportunities and encourage the honors kids to go after their dreams. if you get the top scholarship and I think the second highest scholarship, you are also admitted to the honors program.
