<p>Since everyone seems to be running amok due to the sudden notice of the short Cornell FA deadline, and every thread has repeated questions, this thread should answer most of your questions.</p>
<p>Yes January 2nd is the deadline for RD applicants, ED was due back in November lol. But not to worry, they probably will take your FA either way as long as you meet the Jan 2 deadline.</p>
<p>Jan 2 is the POSTMARK DATE and it is the CSS Profile SUBMISSION DATE. They are NOT "received by" dates. (Evidence below)</p>

And I guess you mail the scanned copies of the W2 tax returns and probably alien (green cards).</p>
<p>The FAFSA is due May 1. I don't think anyone expects you to complete the whole in one day, especially not after New Year's, since FAFSA is only available for 2010-2011 starting January 1st, 2010. </p>
